Varley Strings is directed by Cheralyn Simpson.

Cheralyn prides herself on providing exquisitelive contemporary and classical string music for weddings and events in WA. Her company, Varley Strings, creates tailored ensembles to suit any vision with exclusive music arrangements written by Cheralyn.

Cheralyn has a wealth of experience, having performed for Queen Elizabeth II, important heads of state, and alongside artists such as Rod Stewart, John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John, Richard Clayderman, and Human Nature, as well as Australia’s top orchestras.

Dedicating her life to music performance, Cheralyn holds a Master of Arts, music performance degree from Monash University, a bachelor of music (honours) from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, and is an alumnus of the professional performance program at the Australian National Academy of Music.

Focussing on high-energy performances, Cheralyn is redefining what people think of a violinist. She finds it exhilarating to be centre stage, dancing and playing the violin. Cheralyn has been described as the perfect mix of playfulness and class, leaving audiences with an entertainment experience to remember.
