Dolce Ensembles

Kathryn Lee (violin) and Sidney Harvey (cello) are the directors of Dolce Ensembles and together, lead a collective of Perth's finest professional musicians, curating modern and classical arrangements that elevate events, weddings, and performances across Perth and Western Australia.

Their journey began with humble roots as a string duo during their studies, performing at local venues and events on weekends. Since then, Dolce Ensembles has evolved into versatile ensembles, offering string quartets, trios, harp, flute, and collaborations with vocalists and other instrumentalists to suit the client's vision.

Kathryn and Sidney have also branched out to include a new type of ensemble, Onyx Electric Strings, featuring electric violin and cello. This vibrant addition seamlessly blends classical elegance with contemporary music, performing dance floor tracks, latest pop hits and solid oldies to create an exciting vibe for events in collaboration with Perth DJs, singers and instrumentalists for background or feature performances.

Dolce Ensembles have been privileged to share the stage with renowned artists like Missy Higgins, Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse, and numerous Perth talents. They have been the musical choice for esteemed clients including Tourism Australia, State Buildings, City of Perth, WA Museum Boola Bardip, Kailis Pearls, University of Western Australia, Curtin University and the Hilton Hotel Group.

Recently, Dolce Ensembles have performed for audiences as part of the international Fever Candlelight Concert series, showcasing their music in exquisite venues throughout Perth.
