Sgt Hulka

Fuse vintage sounds with a contemporary attitude and you meet Walyalup Soul Pop sensation -Sgt. Hulka. Growing up in Walyalup (Fremantle), Kirsty Hulka fell in love with the Soul and Blues music on the scene and began emulating their sounds.

She has crafted her 8-pieceband into a sparkly explosion of powerhouse vocals, tight rhythms and punchy horns. Sgt. Hulka was a WAM Song of the Year Nominee ’23 and a finalist for Listen Up! National Songwriting Prize. She has impressed audiences at Blues at Bridgetown, Telethon ’22, Denmark Festival of the Voice, Hidden Treasures, Sunday Music and was nominated for a WAM award for Best Keys/Synth player ‘23.

After recently releasing her debut EP, Sgt. Hulka has toured the North West (solo) and South West (full band) of Western Australia.
